March Construction Update by Chris Herndon
Dear Neighbors,
We think you’d be amazed at how far along the project has come! Here’s the update since our last share:
As funny as it sounds, we’re done cutting holes in the roof!
Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing rough-in work was ongoing and ultimately approved by City of St Paul inspectors. It looks like a bunch of pipes, tubes and wire getting installed in wall cavities and overhead. I think of this as work as the nervous system of a building.
Instead of acting as a building ornament, the downspouts are back to functional.
We capped off the chimney to prevent something from living in there.
The insulation has been installed in many areas. I think of insulation as the building’s blanket to keep warm.
And capped off with drywall. Five layers were installed between the theater and the lobby to create a quiet theater space. Can’t have distractions, can we now?
What’s coming up next?
HEADS UP! On Tuesday, April 14th or Wednesday, April 15th, we’re going to be blocking at least one of the reads to install the rooftop heating and cooling system (it’s a massive piece of machinery)
Theater rigging
Finish paint
Carpentry finishes
