April Community Engagement memo from Chris Herndon

 Dear Neighbors,

We think you’d be amazed at how far along the project has come! Here’s the update since our last share:

Someone tried to light our building on fire 🔥! Luckily the fire went out on its own. Just a reminder to keep your building secured with adequate protections.

Finishing up Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) rough-ins. They’re analogous with the systems of the human body: the mechanical system is the respiratory system of a building, the electrical system is the nervous system of a building and the plumbing system is the circulatory system of a building.

Setting the Remote Thermal Unit (RTU) for regulating the internal temperature of the building.

Wrapping the drywall to prepare for painting. It’s all in the preparation!

Painting 🎨 is one of the signs that we’re in the last leg of construction. Whoop whoop!

What’s coming up next?

  • Finishes, finishes and more finishes (paint, cabinet installation, lights, etc)!

Thanks again for your support and interest in the project. If you have any questions, comments or concerns throughout the project, please contact our Community Engagement Manager, Mercedes Yarbrough, at mercedes@victoriatheater.org.
